More Web Design Cornwall with Social Media SEO
Ok so here’s another one of my boring blog articles in the attempt to improve Majik Websites SEO ranking for when someone searches the term Web Design Cornwall.
Since my very first article on Web Design Cornwall, Majik Websites has benefited from an increase in web traffic, as well as receiving several enquiries regarding web design, which has been linked to Majik Websites’ presence in the search engines.
Although I’m a big believer in preaching what I practice, as I’ve been so busy recently, I’ve struggled to update my blog as regularly as I would have liked to. The original idea was to create a handful or articles over a 2-3 month period targeting the phrase Web Design Cornwall in order to see how much of an influence blogging really is when it comes to indexing pages in the search engines.
The very first article proved to be a success in such a highly sought after phrase, which is still indexed at around page 5 in Google. Of course the goal is to appear at the top of page 1 when someone searches for Web Design Cornwall, but it’s apparent that this will take time, as well as a lot of commitment of my own time, which I’m unable to devote myself to at present.
As I’m continually researching Search Engine Optimisation as the field is ever changing, I feel that the social media side is becoming increasingly important for business’. Love it or hate, social media is taking over… or actually already has taken over the web. By engaging an audience who have opted in to be updated by your business, this form of free advertising directly targeted at an interested and relevant audience is directing traffic to your website, which is indirectly increasing your websites SEO.
Personally I get a little fed up when a business is constantly adding updates to social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, hence the reason why I’m not a big fan of doing this through Majik Websites. That said I completely understand and encourage business’ to do this, personally, I’m just going to hold back a little longer, at the risk of annoying people with fairly pointless(in the readers opinions) updates.
That said, my next SEO experiment will be to use Social Media, in order to increase immediate traffic to a blog article, to see how much that traffic improves the search engine indexing or a particular blog post. And of course, what better term to use than Web Design Cornwall!
